Leah Hanle of Mount Olive Selected Conference Carolinas Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Leah Hanle of Mount Olive has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. 

The league office made the official announcement on Monday, Oct. 7. Hanle has now been named Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week twice in the 2019 season. 

The senior from Lichtenstein, Germany ran as an individual at the 46th Annual Paul Short Invitational in the College Gold Race. Hanle finished the event consisting of mainly NCAA Division I runners 19th out of 296. She was the second-highest Division II finisher in the prestigious race. 

Hanle’s 6K time of 20:23.3 at the Paul Short Invitational is a new school record and a personal-best.
