Mount Olive's Hanle Named Conference Carolinas and USTFCCCA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive’s Leah Hanle has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran during the week of Oct. 9-15, the Conference announced today. This marks her third POTW honor of the season.

A sophomore from Lichtenstein, Germany, Hanle had a record-breaking showing at the Queen City Invite hosted by Queens University of Charlotte. She posted a time of 16:56, which broke her own school record of 17:37 and earned her a runner-up finish. Hanle's performance led the No. 21 Trojans to a second-place team finish.

Hanle also earned her second NCAA Division II National Cross Country Athlete of the Week from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for her performance over the weekend. See the full release here.
