Southern Wesleyan's Uribe Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Southern Wesleyan University goalie Miguel Uribe has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 25 - Oct. 1, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Bogota, Colombia, Uribe posted 14 saves in a little over 198 minutes between the pipes on the week and led the Warriors to a 1-0-1 record.

In a 1-1 tie against Emmanuel, Uribe would collect eight saves. Uribe would come up big in a 2-0 win over Lees-McRae to close out the week, finishing with six saves in 88:34 minutes of action.

Uribe ranks third in the Conference Carolinas statistical standings in saves (50), fourth in wins (4) and fifth in save percentage (.735).
