Mount Olive's Hanle Named Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive’s Leah Hanle has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran during the week of Sept. 25 - Oct. 1, the Conference announced today. This marks her second POTW honor of the season.

Hanle, a sophomore from Lichtenstein, Germany, collected a top-25 finish at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University. Hanle finished 21st overall out of 369 runners with a time of 20:29 in the 6K event, which broke her own 6K record by 20 seconds.

 

Also nominated for Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week: Hope Whisman (North Greenville) and Kaitlin Rivera (King)
