Lees-McRae's McMorrow Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College defender Harvey McMorrow has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 11-17, the Conference announced today. This marks Lees-McRae's second straight Conference POTW honor.
A sophomore from Maidstone, England, McMorrow was the catalyst behind the No. 17 Bobcats remaining unbeaten (5-0-1, 3-0-0) on the year after going 2-0-0 last week in Conference Carolinas play. He would collect four points on two assists and one goal in the two matches.
In a tightly contested match against King, McMorrow would provide a pair of assists that would help propel Lees-McRae to a 3-2 win. He would follow that performance with the match-winner in a 1-0 tilt with Mount Olive to keep the 0 in the lost column for the Bobcats.
McMorrow leads Conference Carolinas in assists (6) and ranks fifth in points (8).
Also nominated for Men's Soccer Player of the Week: Ruairi Croskery (Limestone), James Max Miller (North Greenville) & Mark Trompeter (Belmont Abbey)
