Chowan's Sims Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Chowan University defender Toby Sims has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 8-14, the Conference announced today.

A sophomore from Tuxford, England, Sims paced Chowan to a 2-0 record and pair of conference wins last week. He registered three points on one goal and one assist and anchor a defense that would let up only one goal on the week.

In a 2-0 win over Lees-McRae, Sims would dish one helper and help the team post a shutout of the Bobcats. In a 2-1 win over King, Sims netted one goal on one shot.

Sims currently has six points on two goals and two assists for the season.

Ruben Mancio (Barton) - Two points on one goal in one match.
Gareth Greene (North Greenville) - Five points on two goals and one assist in two matches.
Ruairi Croskery (Limestone) - One point on one assist in one match.
