Mount Olive's Hanle Named Conference Carolinas Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Leah Hanle has been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for meets held Feb. 5 - Feb. 11, the Conference announced today.
Hanle, a sophomore from Lichtenstein, Germany, bettered her season-best time in the 3000 meter run this past weekend at the GVSU Big Meet. Her time of 9:46.46, a national provisional qualifying mark, was good for 6th place in a field full of strong competitors. Hanle's time has her sitting atop the Conference Carolinas leaderboard in that event and is currently the 15th-fastest in Division II.
