Barton's Mandilaris Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College opposite Angelos Mandilaris has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 29 - Feb. 4, the Conference announced today. This marks his second straight POTW award.
A sophomore from Chalkida, Greece, Mandilaris averaged 4.50 kills per set and hit .400 and led Barton to a 2-0 record last week against Conference Carolinas teams.
In a 3-0 win over North Greenville, Mandilaris hit .438 and put away 10 kills with four blocks. His best performance came in the Bulldogs' 3-0 win over Limestone, as Mandilaris registered 17 kills, seven digs, five service aces and three blocks.
Mandilaris currently has a 3.50 kills per set average on 105 totak kills with a a .282 hitting percentage. His total kills rank second in Conference Carolinas, while his kills per set rank third.
