Limestone's Williams Named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week


HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College outside hitter Madysen Williams has been named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played during the week of Sept. 10-16, the Conference announced today.

A freshman from Antioch, Tenn., Williams led the Saints to a 1-1 record in conference play last week after averaging 3.20 kills per set. In a 3-0 sweep of Southern Wesleyan, Williams would notch 14 kills and hit .379 with two digs. In a 3-0 loss to Emmanuel, she would register two kills and three digs in two sets of play.

Williams currently averages 2.64 kills per set, which ranks just outside the top 10 at 11th in the Conference Carolinas statistical standings.

 

Also nominated for Women's Volleyball Player of the Week:
Katy Torgerson (Erskine) - 18 kills for 4.5 kills per set average and two blocks in one match.
Cyerra Carter (Mount Olive) - 10 kills for 3.33 kills per set average along with four blocks in one match.
