Chowan's Henderson Named Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Chowan University midfielder Sabrina Henderson has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 17-23, the Conference announced today.
Henderson, a sophomore from Lake Mary, Fla., led Chowan to a 5-1 victory over Southern Wesleyan last week in Conference Carolinas play. She would net eight points on four goals in the rout. The four goals were a Chowan single-match record.
Henderson currently ranks third in Conference Carolinas in both points (10) and goals (5).
Also nominated for Women's Soccer Player of the Week:
Moriah Logue (Emmanuel) - Two points on one goal in two matches.
Alexis Feely (Lees-McRae) - 13 saves in one match.
Asheton Robinson (North Greenville) - Three points on one goal and one assist in two matches.
Holly Rawcliffe (Limestone) - Five points on two goals and one assist in two matches.
Sara Dooley (Erskine) - Eight saves in two matches.
Brenna Keegan (Barton) - Two points on one goal in one match.
Lauryn Harding (Belmont Abbey) - Four saves in one match.
