Erskine's Scott Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College center Alexis Scott has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 14-20, the Conference announced today.

Scott, a junior from Anderson, S.C., averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in a pair of overtime victories for Erskine over Conference Carolinas foes Converse and North Greenville.

Scott shot 70 percent (7-for-10) from the field and scored 19 points with eight boards and three steals in the Fleet's tight 75-71 victory over North Greenville. She would then score a game-high 20 points with seven rebounds and a block in an 81-72 win over Converse.

Scott currently averages 12.8 points and nine rebounds. Her rebounds per game rank fifth in Conference Carolinas.

Also nominated for Women's Basketball Player of the Week:
Ali Golden (King) - Averaged 14 points, five assists, three steals and two rebounds in two games.
Hanna Grogan (Emmanuel) - Averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in two games.
Maria Kuhlman (Belmont Abbey) - Averaged 17.5 points, three assists and 2.5 rebounds in two games.
Felecity Havens (Mount Olive) - Averaged 28.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, three steals, three assists and one block in two games.
Taylour Hunter (Limestone) - Averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one block in one game.
