Hayden Frear, Mount Olive
A senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Hayden Frear led Mount Olive with 28 kills while contributing 15 digs and five blocks in a pair of matches against Lincoln Memorial on the road.
This past Saturday, Frear produced 15 kills on a .300 hitting percentage while adding seven digs, one ace and three blocks in a 3-1 win over the Railsplitters. With the win, Mount Olive handed LMU its first home loss since 2021. The following day in a five-set thriller, Frear totaled 13 kills, eight digs and two blocks in a 3-2 loss.
Frear paces the Trojans this season behind a team-leading 150 kills through 17 matches.
Specialist of the Week
Jackson Lahey, Mount Olive
A 6-foot-2 setter, Jackson Lahey of Mount Olive tallied 78 assists, eight service aces, 16 digs and three blocks in Mount Olive’s two matches last week on the road at Lincoln Memorial.
Last Saturday, Frear directed the offense with an assist/dig double-double after recording 40 assists and 10 digs while tallying four aces in a 3-1 win over the Railsplitters. The next day, Lahey guided the offense with 38 assists, four service aces, three blocks and six digs in a 3-2 loss.
Lahey leads Conference Carolinas with 29 aces while ranking third with 9.64 assists per set.
