Belmont Abbey's Kuhlman Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College guard Maria Kuhlman has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 20-26, the Conference announced today.
A freshman from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Kuhlman led the Crusaders to a 60-49 non-conference win over Coker last week. In only 28 minutes, Kuhlman went 7-for-9 from the field, including 4-for-5 from three-point range and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe to notch 20 points. She would add five rebounds and an assist to her game totals.
Kuhlman currently ranks eighth in Conference Carolinas with a 14.6 points per game average, while ranking sixth in FG percentage (51) & 10th in 3PT percentage (40.6).
