Barton's Grant Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.Barton College guard Zach Grant has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 11-17, the Conference announced today. This marks Barton's second straight POTW honor.

A junior from Richmond, Va., Grant propelled the Bulldogs to an 89-85 win over No. 21 nationally ranked UNC Pembroke last week. He poured in 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting, including 3-for-5 from three-point range, with three rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Grant currently averages 7.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game on a 56.6 field goal percentage and 60 percent from three-point range. His three-point percentage ranks first in Conference Carolinas, while field goal percentage ranks third.
