Barton's Grant Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College guard Zach Grant has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 11-17, the Conference announced today. This marks Barton's second straight POTW honor.
A junior from Richmond, Va., Grant propelled the Bulldogs to an 89-85 win over No. 21 nationally ranked UNC Pembroke last week. He poured in 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting, including 3-for-5 from three-point range, with three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Grant currently averages 7.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game on a 56.6 field goal percentage and 60 percent from three-point range. His three-point percentage ranks first in Conference Carolinas, while field goal percentage ranks third.
