Mount Olive's Tham Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.University of Mount Olive forward Dominique Tham has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 8-14, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Arlington, Va., Tham averaged 15.5 points, seven rebounds and two steals to lead the Trojans to a 2-0 week, including a win over rival Barton.

Tham's 18 points, 10 rebounds and four steals were a crucial part of UMO's 76-75 win over Barton, which was a battle of first-place teams in Conference Carolinas. He would follow that performance with 13 points and four rebounds in just 21 minutes of action in a 96-72 vicyoty over Southern Wesleyan.

Tham currently averages 11.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game on 53 percentage shooting. His rebounds per game ranks sixth in the league, while his field goal percentage ranks seventh.
