Lees-McRae's Falls Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College forward Donte Falls has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 15-21, the Conference announced today.
Falls, a senior from Shelby, N.C., shot 61.9 percent from the field, including 83.3 percent from three-point range, and averaged 19.5 points with four rebounds and 2.5 assists to lead the Bobcats to two wins last week.
In a 91-81 win over Erskine, Falls poured in 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting (4-4 3pt) with five boards and three assists in 25 minutes. He followed that performance up with more hot shooting in an 88-72 win over Limestone, going 7-for-11 from the field for 18 points, three rebounds and two assists.
Falls currently averages 9.8 points and 4.7 rebounds.
