King's Floyd Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.King University guard Jordan Floyd has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 22-28, the Conference announced today.

A junior from Stone Mountain, Ga., Floyd shot 50 percent from the field and averaged 25 points with 3.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds to move the Tornado into second place of the Conference Carolinas standings after going 3-0 last week.

In a 97-81 win over Erskine, Floyd scored 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting (5-9 3pt) with four dimes in 21 minutes of action. He would then notch his fifth 30-point game of the season against Barton, going 11-for-17 for 30 points on the dot and three dimes in the 95-82 victory. Floyd would close out the week with 24 points and three assists in a 79-54 win over first-place Mount Olive.

Floyd currently averages 20.4 points, two rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. His 20.4 points per game rank first in Conference Carolinas.
