Conference Carolinas has 10 Programs Ranked in National Polls in Weekly Update

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas had 10 programs earn spots in their respective national polls in this week’s rankings update headlined by North Greenville who remains atop the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball poll.

  • In the final NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association (D2SIDA) regular season media poll for men’s basketball on March 7 UNC Pembroke remained in the top-10 at No. 10 nationally with 248 points. The Braves also remained ranked in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) final regular season poll at No. 8 with 267 points.   • In the final Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) regular season poll (March 7) Belmont Abbey continued to receive votes in the poll which is available here.

  • Off the Block released the week 10 NCAA Division II coaches poll and North Greenville continued to lead the league at No. 7 with 49 points while Erskine was eighth with 36 points and King was tied for ninth with 17 points. Belmont Abbey, Lees-McRae and Mount Olive each received votes in the poll. The full poll is available here.

  • The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the week five regular season poll and North Greenville, who is 22-2 overall and 12-1 in league play, remained atop the poll with 500 points and all 20 first-place votes. UNC Pembroke ranked 16th with 192 points. Unsurprisingly, NGU topped the Southeast Region poll with 100 points and all 10 first-place votes while UNC Pembroke was ranked fourth with 72 points and Mount Olive came in at No. 8 with 26 points.     In the March 13 Collegiate Baseball Division II poll, North Greenville remained No. 1 with 240 points while UNC Pembroke ranked 16th with 114 points and Mount Olive was 18th with 95 points. The full poll can be seen here

  • Inside Lacrosse Women (ILWomen) and the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released the March 13 regular-season ILWomen/IWLCA Division II poll and Mount Olive was ranked No. 25 with 43 points. The poll is available here.

  • The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Dynamic week five regular-season poll and Belmont Abbey received votes. The full poll is available here.

  • The National Tenpin Coaches Association released the March poll and Lincoln Memorial is ranked 19th with 249 points. The poll is available here.

  • The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the March edition of the 2022-23 Division II Swimming & Diving Top 25 Dual Meet Rankings and the Emmanuel men received votes in the poll which is available here.

  • The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s National Team, Singles and Doubles Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point for March 15 and Conference Carolinas was well represented. 

    In the women’s team rankings Erskine led the way at No. 31 with 19.197 points while Belmont Abbey also joined them in the Top 50 at No. 46 with 11.549 points. A pair of Mount Olive pairs ranked in the Top 50 doubles rankings as Ingrid Montserrat and Orianai Zarra ranked No. 43 while Liza Voloshyna and Nele Weber ranked 50th.     In the men’s team rankings Mount Olive ranked No. 42 with 17.141 points and Francis Marion ranked No. 44 with 15.23 points. In the doubles rankings the Trojans pair of Guilherme De and Daniel Hammond ranked 33rd. The rankings can be seen here.
