Conference Carolinas has 13 Programs Ranked in National and Regional Polls in Weekly Update

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas had 13 programs earn spots in their respective national and regional polls in this week’s rankings update headlined by North Greenville who remains atop the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball poll.

  • The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) unveiled the first set of championship rankings on March 29 and two Conference Carolinas institutions are ranked in the top-10 led by Limestone at No. 9 followed by Belmont Abbey at No. 10. The top eight teams in the final ranking will qualify for the 2023 NCATA National Championship Tournament. The next set of rankings will be released on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.   • The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the week seven regular season poll and North Greenville, who is 29-2 overall and 18-1 in league play, remained atop the poll with 500 points and all 20 first-place votes. UNC Pembroke ranked 20th with 143 points. Unsurprisingly, NGU topped the Southeast Region poll with 110 points and all 11 first-place votes while UNC Pembroke remained fourth with 61 points and Mount Olive held at No. 8 with 41 points. Belmont Abbey joined the poll at No. 10 with nine points while Erskine also received votes in the poll. The polls are available here.

    In the March 27 Collegiate Baseball Division II poll, North Greenville remained No. 1 with 240 points while Mount Olive was 14th with 110 points and UNC Pembroke ranked 19th with 80 points. The full poll can be seen here

  • In the March 24 Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll Barton was ranked No. 22 with 43 points. The poll is available here.

  • The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Dynamic week seven regular-season poll and Belmont Abbey and Mount Olive each received votes. The full poll is available here.

  • Inside Lacrosse Women (ILWomen) and the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released the March 27 regular-season ILWomen/IWLCA Division II poll and Mount Olive received votes. The poll is available here.

  • The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s National Team, Singles and Doubles Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point for March 29 and Conference Carolinas was well represented.  In the women’s team rankings Erskine led the way at No. 33 with a 20.514 average while Mount Olive also joined them in the Top 50 at No. 43 with a 13.161 average. In the Top 50 doubles rankings the Mount Olive duo of Liza Voloshyna and Nele Weber ranked 48th. In the men’s rankings Francis Marion was the only team ranked at No. 41 with a 17.386 average.   • On the track, the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the first national and regional Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI) and Mount Olive was ranked 25th in the women’s national poll with 52.15 points and the men were ranked No. 18 with 6.27 points. In the women’s Southeast regional rankings, Mount Olive topped the poll with 811.02 points while Southern Wesleyan joined the top five at No. 5 with 368.88 points. Belmont Abbey came in at No. 9 with 277.16 points followed by North Greenville (14th, 211.08), UNC Pembroke (16th, 193.63), Converse (17th, 187.93), Emmanuel (19th, 132.49), Erskine (22nd, 87.38), King (23rd, 62.01), Lees-McRae (25th, 54.45), Barton (28th, 8.00) and Francis Marion (29th, 1.83). In the men’s regional rankings, the Trojans are second with 544.58 points while UNC Pembroke is fifth with 426.37 points. Belmont Abbey is ranked 12th with 235.13 points followed by Southern Wesleyan (13th, 220.74), North Greenville (14th, 218.48), Emmanuel (17th, 152.61), Lees-McRae (18th, 145.86), Erskine (20th, 97.01), King (24th, 63.60), Barton (25th, 48.43), Converse (26th, 7.05) and Francis Marion (28th, 3.78).   • Off the Block released the week 12 NCAA Division II coaches poll and North Greenville continued to lead the league at No. 7 with 40 points while Erskine was eighth with 33 points and King was 10th with 13 points. Belmont Abbey and Lees-McRae each received votes in the poll. The full poll is available here.
