WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Isabel Miller | Emmanuel | Freshman | Setter/Libero | Bishop, Georgia
In four matches in November, Miller averaged 6.17 assists and 1.42 digs per set. She dished out 28 assists in a win over Converse and posted eight digs earlier in the month in a win over Georgia College. She posted aces in wins over Converse and Erskine.

Brent Nicolosi | Mount Olive | Freshman | 165 pounds | Haverhill, Massachusetts
A freshman from Haverhill, Massachusetts, Nicolosi posted an 11-2 mark in the opening month of the season while competing at 165 pounds. Additionally, he boasted a 3-0 record in Conference Carolinas duals and a pair of runner-up finishes on the podium. In 11 victories, Nicolosi earned four falls, four decisions, two tech falls, and one forfeit, including a win over the nation's top-ranked wrestler at 165 pounds.

Lillian Prendergast | Mount Olive | Freshman | 103 pounds | Southport, North Carolina
A native of Southport, North Carolina, Prendergast delivered a strong start to her intercollegiate career behind a 12-3 record with three podium finishes, including an individual title. On November 2, she delivered a perfect 3-0 mark to claim the individual crown at 103 pounds in the Trojan Open. The following week, Prendergast finished fourth overall at the Eagle Madness Open with a 3-2 record. She claimed her third podium of the season at the Blue Hose Challenge after going 3-1 at 103 pounds to finish third.

FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH - Previous Winners
Kiara Croskey | Francis Marion | Freshman | Guard | Sumter, South Carolina
In her first month of collegiate action, Croskey averaged 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.3 steals in six contests, all starts. The Sumter, South Carolina native shot 48.9 percent from the floor and was 16-of-20 (80.0 percent) at the foul line. She scored in double figures four times, including a high of 14 twice, in the season-opener against Coker and on November 30 in a win over Young Harris. She helped Francis Marion to a 5-1 start, including two wins over nationally ranked opponents. Croskey was named Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week for November 4-10, 2024.

Chase Dawson | Mount Olive | Freshman | Guard | Durham, North Carolina
A freshman guard from Durham, North Carolina, Dawson averaged 17.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, as the Trojans posted a 4-2 record in November behind a 2-0 mark in conference play. He shot 49.3 percent (36-of-73) from the field while converting 19-of-26 (73.1 percent) from the free-throw line. Dawson ranks among the top 10 in the Conference Carolinas in scoring with a trio of 20-point performances. On November 9, he scored 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting with four rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes versus Columbus State. The following game, Dawson totaled a season-high 26 points with two rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 26 minutes against Georgia Southwestern. On November 23, he finished with 21 points on 8-of-12 attempts while adding three rebounds, six assists, and two steals in 27 minutes to earn a 99-89 win over Shorter.

Makayla Angel | Emmanuel | Freshman | Orlando, Florida
Angel was a starter in four of the Emmanuel's competitions in November. She ended the month with an average of 172 in 16 Individual games. Her high individual game of 224 came at the NCAA Colonial Lanes Classic. The Orlando, Florida native converted 62 of 80 (77 percent) single pin spares for the month and had a first ball pinfall average of 8.8.

Garrett Nelson | Emmanuel | Freshman | Lucedale, Mississippi
Nelson started all three November tournaments for the Lions. The Lucedale, Mississippi native posted an average of 202 in 11 traditional team games, including a high game of 247 at the Springhill Fall Classic. For the month he posted a 49.0 strike percentage and 88.0 single pin spare percentage.

Isabella Hernandez | Emmanuel | Freshman | Santiago, Dominican Republic
Hernandez opened the month with three first place swims to help the Lions top Mars Hill and King and moved to 11-0 in dual meets. She helped the 200 yard freestyle relay touch the wall first before winning the 500 yard freestyle in 5:16.84 and the 1000 yard freestyle in 10:51.29.
At the 2024 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational that featured eight NCAA Division I programs, Hernandez swam in eight different events for the Lions, and qualified for the finals in two events. The Santiago, Dominican Republic native was a member of the 800 freestyle relay group that set the school record. She qualified for the finals in the 200 yard and 500 yard freestyle, posting times of 1:55.89 and 5:07.76, respectively. She also swam in the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relays, 200 yard medley relay, 100 yard freestyle and 1650 yard freestyle.

Tymofii Surovikin | Emmanuel | Freshman | kharkiv, Ukraine
Surovikin started the month with a pair of wins as the Lions moved to 9-0 with a pair of dual wins over Mars Hill and King. He won the 100 yard breaststroke iwth a time of 58.09 and helped the 200 medley relay post a win. He finished fifth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.19 seconds.
At the 2024 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational, Surovikin competed in five different events in the meet that featured eight NCAA Division I programs. He touched the wall in 21.87 seconds in the 50 yard feestyle before posting a 100 yard breaststroke time of 57.58 seconds. He finished the 200 individual medley in 1:59.83 and closed out the meet competing in the 200 and 400 yard medley relays.
