King's West Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C.King University center Kori West has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 15-21, the Conference announced today.

A sophomore from Shelby, N.C., West shot 63.6 percent from the field and just missed out on a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds in only 24 minutes of action in King's 76-68 win over Converse last week. She would add four assists to her game totals.

West currently averages 9.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent from the field. Her shooting percentage ranks second in Conference Carolinas, while her rebounds per game rank fourth.
