Mount Olive's Havens Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive guard Felecity Havens has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 29 - Feb. 4, the Conference announced today. This marks her second POTW honor this season.
A junior from Lorain, Ohio, Havens shot 49 percent from the field, including 53.3 from three-point range, en route to averaging 33.5 points, 13 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game during a 1-1 week for Mount Olive.
In a 98-66 blowout of Converse, Havens posted 28 points with 17 rebounds to go with four dimes and two blocks. She would close out the week with 39 points, nine boards and three assists in a narrow 87-85 lost to North Greenville.
Havens currently averages 23.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field. Her points and rebounds per game both rank first in Conference Carolinas, while her shooting percentage ranks ninth.
